We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Digital Marketing Lead to oversee the digital marketing function across ESM and Hamilton Aquatics. This role is instrumental in developing and executing digital initiatives that align with our overall business and marketing objectives. You will lead a growing team, drive performance across digital and social platforms, and deliver integrated campaigns to boost brand visibility, engagement, and customer acquisition across all programmes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the digital marketing strategy across ESM and Hamilton Aquatics, ensuring alignment with overall marketing and business objectives.

  • Line manage and support the performance and development of the Digital Team, including the Social Media Executive and Digital Marketing Intern.

  • Oversee the execution of digital campaigns across paid, owned, and earned media to drive traffic, conversions, and brand visibility.

  • Lead strategic content planning across platforms, ensuring consistent brand voice and optimised content performance.

  • Drive lead generation campaigns across digital channels, optimising landing pages, CTAs, and conversion flows to support enrolments and enquiries across all programmes.

  • Plan and manage paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta platforms, and other digital advertising channels.

  • Oversee SEO and SEM strategies to improve organic visibility and search rankings.

  • Manage CRM and email marketing strategy, including segmentation, automation, and performance analysis.

  • Ensure continuous improvement of the website experience in collaboration with the Content and Design teams; work with web developers and platform partners to enhance UX and conversion.

  • Lead analytics and performance reporting, interpreting data to provide actionable insights and monthly reports to senior management.

  • Support the planning and execution of social media content strategy across platforms, ensuring platform-specific storytelling, audience growth, and engagement.

  • Stay current with emerging trends (including AI), platform innovations, and digital best practices to continually evolve strategy.

  • Oversee the implementation and use of WhatsApp for Business via third-party platforms to manage customer communication, distribute promotional content, and support lead generation and customer retention initiatives.

  • Liaise with media agencies, technology partners, and vendors to deliver high-quality digital output.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience in digital marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or strategy-focused role.

  • Experience in leading digital teams and managing multiple stakeholders.

  • Understanding of the sports industry with an interest in sports is preferred but not necessary.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including performance marketing, SEO/SEM, social media, email marketing, and analytics.

  • Proven track record in managing and optimising paid media budgets and delivering measurable ROI.

  • Experience using CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and marketing automation tools.

  • Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, digital marketing tools, and communication channels like WhatsApp.

  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities and a data-driven mindset.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and influence internal and external stakeholders.

  • Conduct data mining and compile performance reports using tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Insights, and internal dashboards.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field

  • Strong interest in digital marketing, social media, and data analytics

  • Basic understanding of digital platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, and email marketing tools

  • Familiarity with Excel/Google Sheets and ability to interpret basic data and performance metrics

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Operations to oversee the operational delivery of all departments within ESM. This leadership role is crucial to ensuring that all programmes and services run smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, foster internal and external relationships, and implement scalable systems to support our growing organisation.

You’ll play a key role in aligning departmental execution with business goals, ensuring compliance with safety and safeguarding standards, and supporting the continued success of our venues and partnerships.

Job Purpose

Lead and manage the operations of ESM departments, providing efficient plans for the smooth running of all programmes and services offered by all departments.

Key Objectives

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth running of operations and providing valued services by all users.

  • Oversee and manage the plans of activities and programmes in all venues by guiding and holding relevant team members accountable for revenue generation and gross profit of their respective venues.

  • Oversee the plan of staff requirements for all programmes and venues, including leave schedules and effective coordination and planning with department leaders and relevant stakeholders for required operations of secured new contracts.

  • Ensure all activities and programmes adhere to the local laws, rules, and regulations of governing bodies and health & safety and child safeguarding standards.

  • Oversee the implementation of health & safety rules and aspects and ensure proper procedures are in place for staff and providers’ compliance.

  • Liaise with all ESM departments to ensure all operational elements are regularly updated and checked on the relevant systems.

  • The role forms part of the Senior Leadership Team within the organisation, with monthly reporting responsibilities and required participation in leadership meetings.

  • Degree in sports, business, or a similar qualification related to the field
